Much has been written about ACRES DESTINY over the years, but just like his full brother TALAWAHL CLASSIC DESTINY, a great deal of TALAWAHL CLASSIC ACRES’s character comes from his dam PARKHOUSE CLASSIC.

CLASSIC is the eldest of three full sisters by ADIOS REFLECT out of a MASTER LUKE mare. All three mares performed successfully at ASH showing and campdrafting with PARKHOUSE CLASSIC achieving highlights such as runner-up in the ASH Maiden Series 2 and ultimately becoming an Open Campdraft Mare.
Campaigning early on around SE Qld, Vicki used to say, “For a while I was known as the girl with the three black mares and competing on them, putting cattle around, made it easy for me to look good”. They had an instinctive ability to understand and rate cattle.
CLASSIC went on to become a successful broodmare. Talawahl Classic Doc, Classic’s first foal by Almora QP Double Doc was sold as a yearling to Steve Hayden from Victoria. The early promise he showed was borne out by his later achievements, including winning the 2009 Warwick Stallion Draft as a 5yo, ridden by David Reiter.
Her other progeny of note include TALAWAHL CLASSIC VINTAGE, TALAWAHL CLASSIC IMPRESSION, and of course the highly successful and now sadly deceased stallion TALAWAHL CLASSIC DESTINY, Talawahl Classic Acres’ full brother, 6 years his senior.

TALAWAHL CLASSIC ACRES or ‘CA’ as he is known, was born November 2014. He was a striking looking foal and as he grew it was decided he was too good a type to geld. Vicki Evans said, “Older siblings were performing and achieving and not wanting or needing to keep and campaign 2 stallions we figured we’d sell him as a colt.”
CA, like his brother was easy to have around, Vicki didn’t push hard to sell him and inevitably did end up carting and campaigning both boys which was no hardship. The worst part about it Vicki said, “Was dealing with 2 sets of stallion panels.”
With his good looks and easygoing temperament CA has enjoyed a very successful show career in both led and ridden events. There have been many highlights including Champion and Reserve ribbons at ASH National Shows, Canberra and Sydney Royals, as well as many Supremes at local shows.
He loves the attention and the camera!
But, he’s not just a pretty boy! CA is also turning heads in the Campdraft arena. Like his older siblings, his ability to watch and rate cattle and his easy turn of speed has led to those in the industry commenting he could be a better horse than Classic Destiny…Vicki would settle for just as good.

CA has made many finals and has been in the lineups at big events, including the ASH Championship Campdraft and the 2024 Willinga Park Stallion Shootout where he finished in the Top 10.
Lachlan Corrigan and Classic Acres clicked immediately and they have put together some great runs in Juvenile Drafts. However Lachie has aged out of this event so his sister Georgia has taken over the reins.
It seems CA is following in his brother Classic Destiny’s hoof steps as the versatile mount for all ages.
TALAWAHL CLASSIC ACRES’ progeny are inheriting his looks, temperament and trainability. They are competing across a range of events and his young daughters have sold extremely well through the Nutrien Classic.
Now a Novice horse.
Lachie Corrigan had been drafting Classic Acres, they clicked immediately and put together some great runs in Juvenile Drafts.
After Glowalmans Lachie aged out of this event so his sister Georgia took over the reins.
ACRES DESTINY has become a household name in the performance horse world, producing champion after champion in a range of disciplines including cutting, campdrafting, challenges & reining.

Talawahl Classic Destiny was in his prime when tragedy struck in February 2025. He was euthanised after a sudden bout of acute laminitis devastating all who knew him.
He was a special horse who touched the lives of so many. He was as proficient in the Campdraft arena as he was in the Show pen, at National level. His successes were immense.
He proved himself as a sire and his successful progeny will continue his legacy.
