G Im A Playboy burst onto the scene in 2024 as a 4yo colt, proving his outstanding ability, with maturity, athleticism, and consistency well beyond his years. Affectionately known as “Hugh”, this big, typey bay quickly made a name for himself. He proved his exceptional ability from his first starts, running high scores and claiming big wins.

Owned by Nathan and Suzie Titmus, Hugh’s journey began with an unexpected twist. Back in 2021, Nathan had taken a young colt to trainer Josh Smith, hoping it would be the future stallion to put over his mares. Things didn’t go to plan—but for the better.
“The colt I had fell over on Josh,” Nathan recalls. “Josh said, ‘Buy this one instead.’ He showed me a weanling in the yards”.
Nathan already knew the sire and dam well and was immediately impressed by the young colt’s quality. “He was a tall, leggy weanling – quiet, but quirky. I liked him straight away,” he says.
Excited, Nathan rang Suzie at work to share the news. She hadn’t expected to hear they were the owners of a new weanling colt.
From the time he was broken in Josh was responsible for Hugh’s training, but Nathan was there every step of the way. “We live half an hour away, so I didn’t miss much. Josh did everything with him, and I helped whenever I could.”
“He became quiet really quickly. He’s the kind of horse that follows you around like a dog. He is your best mate. Even though he’s incredibly quiet, he’s also feely and very responsive.”

“Josh never had to worry about him letting him down,” says Nathan. “Being the breeder, he was naturally invested in how the horse would perform. That can be nerve-wracking, but Hugh was consistent and reliable from day one.”
It wasn’t long before Nathan began joining Hugh to his own mares, as well as a select few outside mares. The results spoke for themselves. Like their sire, his foals are exceptionally quiet, even those out of hotter mares. He also proved to be a prolific filly producer.
Dual-registered and backed by outstanding bloodlines, Hugh offers exciting versatility as a sire. With his size and strength, he is a great match for smaller Quarter Horse mares, while his incredible temperament is a major asset for Stock Horse mares.
With his natural ability, kind nature, and strong pedigree, the future looks very bright for this standout young stallion.
GI M Hard is the Challenge King! He won the Cloncurry Classic Stockmans challenge as a 3yo, the Nutrien Classic Challenge as a 4yo and has a string of other successes under his belt.
