TR Dual Rey’s status as “Broodmare sire” continues to strengthen.

We’ve focussed a bit on the mare influence on our Sires this week and tonight’s win by FLAMING CAT (o/o TR Dual Rey mare EB S Flame Tree) in the NCHA Open Limited Futurity builds on that.

Shane Plummer of SDP Buffalo Ranch purchased EB S Flame Tree at the 2014 NCHA Futurity Sale as a just started 2yo from Fineline Quarter Horse Stud.

Shane was intent on supporting his breeding customers and in doing so ensuring progeny by his stallions get the best opportunity by investing in their training.  ‘Flame’ showed at the 2015 Futurity with Jamie Creek, top scoring the 2nd round but missing the Final.  Following Shane finaling in the Non Pro Futurity, she was purchased by Truclass.

She is currently owned by Angus McKinnon who tells us ‘Flame’ was campaigned throughout her aged event career with Lifetime Earnings of $65,233.69.

Angus bred FLAMING CAT (by NRR Cat King Cole), and sold the filly to Tri Star Quarter Horses.

Jack Johnston top scored GR2 of the 2022 Futurity marking 221.5 & enters the final in 4th position on the AGR leaderboard.

Alexis Stephas, visiting Stallion Manager from SDP Buffalo Ranch said Flaming Cat’s win tonight confirms why TR DUAL REY is enjoying stronger demand in the US as a Broodmare Sire.
