The 2021 Sydney Royal Easter Show World Championship Campdraft was sensational. Apart from the obvious, a real highlight for us over the last 6 nights has been watching Simone Harvey. We’ve talked for years regarding Tocal College and the impact Select Sires Stallions have on their breeding program, so it was lovely to put a face, a smiling face, to the name.
It was no surprise that Simone chose to ride her “favourite, loyal mare” Peelvale Jane, by “the great Conductor“.
Simone is a mother of 2; 7 month old Jock and 3 year old Austin and she’s no stranger to success at Sydney. This year the lack of points in no way reflected her scores: 87.5, 81.5, 87, 81, 80, 82.5.
In fact were the positions based on averages they would have been 3rd. Fantastic drafting in the GIANT Stadium.
Simone said of the event, “I’m am having the most amazing time. Just a great team of competitors, fantastic cattle, atmosphere and being here with the boys has been so special.”
