The Hazelwood Conspiracy (by Hazelwood Conman) win in the Martins Stock Haulage Open Draft is just a really nice story.
Owners, Evan and Kim Acton, purchased this beautiful Conman mare at the Nutrien sale as a 3yo. It was a single bid purchase of $40,000. She returned to Millungera to be Kim’s horse, but fortunes changed and Kim offered the ride to Will Durkin.
Will and Conspiracy have been together ever since and Evan and Kim could not be prouder of the pair. They have won a bagful of Open Drafts but this one was special with the crowd, the atmosphere and the prestige all in play.
The run off was nail biting and the horse and rider combination was nothing short of spectacular.
