It’s a big call for organisers to cancel an event, so much work goes in to the preparation. But, when mother nature intervenes, she is the dictate and committees are left with no choice.
Such was the case with Glen Elgin, but an ad hoc committee meeting followed by a community/family bbq reminds us that it’s not all about the horses. They are the linchpin that binds communities together. A great day was still had by all, just without the horses.
