Contractor meets his twin sister at Jugiong

What an enormous weekend around the traps. We don’t have enough fingers to count the number of events on. Results mean updates, plenty of them. Where to start?

This one’s a good story about family ties and success in the breed, so we’ll start here with Contractor.

When Tony Pearce was looking for a colt, his search took him to David Ahern from the Scenic Rim Vet Clinic. David had bred two Conman embryo foals, from a single flush, from a relatively unknown Acres mare Beaudestiny. Contractor was purchased at just 8 weeks old.

Well, who should turn up Jugiong at the weekend, but his twin sister Conmans Request. Tony said she’s an awesome mare that moves just like her brother.

Both had success over the weekend, Contractor placed 4th in Saturday’s Open & 2nd in Sunday’s Open, and Paige Nancarrow and Conmans Request placed in the Novice & Ladies and finaled in the Open.
