AUS v USA thrills spectators

The AELEC was filled with whooping and hollering at the 2017 NCHA Futurity when eight Australians and eight USA competitors held their ground at the 2017 AUS v USA Non Pro Challenge with the first go round seeing all 16 horses go through, while the second go round of the Open Futurity saw the three year olds back it up to show the aggregate for the Open Futurity final on Sunday 11 June.

It was the 2016 Open Futurity Champion rider Trent Smith from Young that sat in top place on Sparkys a Dreamer with an aggregated score of 433 over the previous two rounds, just ahead of Todd Graham on PV Dreams of Royalty sitting on a very satisfying 432.5.

The final of the Open Futurity will be held on Sunday 11 June.
