Valley End Quarter Horses are proud to have bred Titanium Blue in 2019. He was sired by Ima Smooth Blue Cat, who needs no introduction, and is out of Boontown Blues who competed in the 2013 Open Futurity.

In addition to hailing from cutting royalty, he is also the full brother to “Im Smooth N Blue”, who won the 2019 NCHA Limited Open Futurity before going on to win and place in many cutting show events in Queensland.
This homozygous roan colt was broken in and commenced cutting training with Regan Lyons of Top Gun Horse Training, and he certainly showed plenty of cowiness. As he grew out, Valley End Quarter Horses made the decision to take their time with Titan and give him enough time to be fully ready to compete and show his abilities.
Titan was then taken on by Cody & Claudia Spencer of Synergy Performance Horses who also have Tuff Lil Spoon (IMP). Titan continued to grow and flourish under their tutelage and as a not yet 4yo went on to win the 2023 Nebo Classic Challenge in the September, winning with an impressive 17.5-point margin on his very first hit out.
After that one start in 2023, Titan came out firing the following season with a series of wins and finals including the Nutrien Futurity Cut Out (placing 3rd in the Classic Challenge), Bowen River Futurity Cut Out, Greenvale Futurity Cut Out (placing 3rd in the Classic Challenge), winning the Cloncurry Futurity Campdraft, Flinders Classic Challenge Wet Work (finishing 2nd in the Classic Challenge overall), and Black Magic Future Stars final.
Titans are, by definition, Godlike, strong, powerful and important. We watch the rise of this Titan with much anticipation.

Ima Smooth Blue Cat is the most impeccably bred cutting stallion to come to Australia with bloodlines full of Hall Of Fame horses. He is sired by Smooth As A Cat – the number one son of the world’s number one leading cutting horse producing stallion, High Brow Cat. His dam is Autumn Boon – the number one daughter of the world’s number one producing mare of all time – Royal Blue Boon.
In December 2010, Leanne Haywood travelled to Fort Worth, Texas for the NCHA Futurity Western Bloodstock Sales where she first saw and fell in love with the blue roan colt Ima Smooth Blue Cat. When this stunning horse was bought back at the Invitational Sale for no less than $145,000, Leanne approached the owners and negotiated a price. At two years of age, Smoothy was at a perfect age to start a promising cutting career in Australia and he arrived at Electrified Cutting Horses in June 2011.
Smoothy went on to have a stellar cutting career in Australia and to breed further generations of exceptional cutters as well.

Boontown Blues (paddock name Blueberry) was bred by Jeff Eddie out of his good mare Jessies Suzanna by Peppy Boontown (IMP). Blueberry grew to be a very talented cutting horse and competed at the 2013 NCHA Open Futurity with Matt Barbour. Unfortunately after that, she contracted big head and retired to be a broodmare.
She was then leased by Leanne Haywood and put in foal to Ima Smooth Blue Cat. This resulted in the birth of Im Smooth N Blue (paddock name Blue Girl) in 2015. Blue Girl was purchased by Valley End Quarter Horses as a 6 week old filly and then subsequently Valley End Quarter Horses also purchased Blueberry. Blue Girl won the NCHA Limited Open Futurity in 2019 and went on to win and place in many cutting show events in Queensland after that.
Blueberry went back in foal to Ima Smooth Blue Cat again for a 2017 red roan colt named Smooth Jessie and then back in foal again to Smoothy for Titanium Blue to be born in 2019.
The trifecta to Smoothy! What an amazing cross!!
Peptoboonsmal is a legend in the cutting industry. Foaled in 1992, he was bred by Larry Hall, Weatherford, Texas. Under Gary Bellenfant’s saddle, he won $180,487 in US NCHA money as a 3 and 4 yo, highlighted by the 1995 National Cutting Horse Association Futurity Open Championship.
He has been a top cutting sire every year since his first foal crop.
