Today Binnia Lareena celebrates her 22nd birthday.  For the Tyler family she remains the ultimate matriarch and a firm family favourite – having spent 17 consecutive years on the truck. As the eldest progeny of Binnia Impressive Destiny and out of their foundation mare Binnia Arena (who produced 4 Open winners by 4 different sires), Lareena carries generations of campdraft winners in her veins…and on her back!

Her career in the arena speaks for itself: Juvenile, Maiden, Novice, Ladies, and 6 Open wins with different riders – most notably taking out the 2015 ABCRA Australian Championships Open at Bundarra after a 6-way runoff. On top of placing in the prestigious Warwick Gold Cup, she has been named ABCRA Novice Horse of the Year Runner-Up and Open Aggregate Winner.

These days, Lareena is helping the next generation make memories of their own. While she’s usually ridden by 6yo Lachie, older brother Jett recently took the reins for his first Junior Cutout. At the Merriwa Junior Campdraft they scored a 22 to win the 8–13 Cutout on just their second start together.
