This is a top story about generational success & family ties. When Madison Hall won the Stockplace Top End Novice Purse at Richmond recently the enormity of the win was not immediately apparent.
The Novice Series is run over 6 of the biggest novice drafts in the north (around 300 horses in each). The top 15 horses and riders with the highest aggregate over those 6 novices go into a final and their score is added onto their already accumulated aggregate.
Madison went into final in 3rd place…2 points behind the leader and top scored with an 89 to win the Saddle, $1,000.00 cash and the Stockplace Top End Novice Purse title!
This in itself is a magnificent achievement because at only 12 years old Madison is the youngest to ever win, but what makes the win super sweet is that she is the 3rd generation of women in her family to do so, and on horses with a Daley’s Playrio tie.
Congratulations to Madison and to her proud parents and grandparents.
