Successful weekend for Proud Lil Pepto at Comboyne

What a great weekend for Proud Lil Pepto and Warwick Lawrence at Comboyne.  With most of the drafts in their area cancelled, outings have been few and far between, so their success was particularly pleasing.

Not only did they place 1st in the Open with scores of 90 & 89, they placed 5th in the Open for Open with a score of 89.

This was the Lawrence family’s first trip to Comboyne and they really enjoyed it.  And no wonder, Warwick also placed 2nd in the Open on Bob & Marie Kildey’s mare Acres Jewel (by Acres Destiny).  Daughter Gracie was there to pick up the ribbon, although not on the correct horse.  Also in the lineup is judge Angus Watters and sponsor Karen McLeod (Director of the Comboyne Ex Servicemen’s Club).

Congratulations all round.
