Binnia Impressive Destiny's story
Binnia Impressive Destiny.

Troy Palmer leads his life with the same philosophy and attitude that he played football with. Give it 100%, do the necessary work, be dedicated, be tough and get the job done. This is how he approaches all aspects of his everyday life and how he has become the champion horseman he is today.

Binnia Impressive Destiny is Troy’s equine pride and joy and his partner in so many of his momentous wins. He is also a horse that thrives on Troy’s formula of give 100%, do the homework and most importantly, be tough and get the job done. Everyone has memories of Troy and ID achieving scores and coursing tough cattle that very few horses would have managed. Getting the job done is their banner, but ID also oozes with style and class and has those incredible good looks as a bonus.

Binnia Impressive Destiny is a champion horse whose very being is the result of generations of dedicated horsemen breeding horses from champion mares.

The Palmer name has been associated with the very best horses for generations and has accumulated a list of elite competition wins and titles over many decades. Troy was raised in this environment and grew up working hard, learning everything he could and striving to be the best. As a child his father, Trevor, made sure his children were well mounted, but it didn’t come easily as they had to try a whole heap of horses to find the good ones. But the good ones stayed and these became the mares that Troy campaigned so successfully as a Junior. They then became the foundation mares that were bred from to form the Binnia Performance Horse Stud.

Binnia Impression, purchased from Bruce McNaughton, was an exceptional Campdraft mare who accumulated a swag of wins and Titles. She was the mare that taught Troy the difference between good horses and great horses and he learnt that great horses were what he wanted to produce throughout his life.

Joining Binnia Impression to Acres Destiny was his grand plan to breed an elite stallion, so he placed an order with Richard Bull for a black colt with a white star. Amazing looks and ability were no doubt also in the order and when Binnia Impressive Destiny was born all requests were fulfilled.

Binnia Impressive Destiny and Troy Palmer are a campdrafting combination that will be remembered well into the future as one of the greats, but ID will also be remembered in his own right as a very influential sire within our industry. His progeny are performing with distinction for Troy, his family and his clients, progeny are selling well at all sales and the future looks bright for Troy and Fiona as they continue to breed champion horses carrying Impressive Destiny bloodlines.
