Nonda Newman fairytale twist to early tragedy

David and Heather Pascoe are delighted to announce that the legendary Sara Grills and the Grills family of Berragoon ASH Stud have chosen their young sire Nonda Newman as an important new stallion to use over their world renowned Polocrosse and Campdrafting mares.

The list of Berragoon mares who have already been bred to Nonda Newman is enough to give you goosebumps from the fabulous Polocrosse superstar Berragoon Ravers to Lipstick, Mardi Gras, Puzzle and Lealukas Candy Girl down. They also have an embryo from the World Cup superstar Beaches.

Nonda Newman boasts an incredible pedigree being by Hazelwood Conman and from Nonda Let’s Talk Later, who won the 2000 Warwick Gold Cup for Terry Hall.

Despite being crippled as a 2 yo by a tragic stable accident at his trainers farm, Newman eventually recovered and developed into a magnificent young stallion who in turn has already sired exceptional progeny.

It would seem that Nonda Newman was nonetheless sadly destined to fade into breeding obscurity until he was discovered by Sara Grills who thought he would be the perfect match for the Berragoon breeding program.

Heather & David Pascoe said, “We applaud Sara’s remarkable vision and foresight to use such World class genetics in her breeding program and, along with Terry and Chrissie Hall, we take this opportunity to wish her every success.”
