Classic Ladies Foundation

BACKGROUND

Landmark was instrumental in bringing together a small team of ladies that added a new stand alone charitable arm to the ever growing annual event the Landmark Classic Campdraft Sale held annually at AELEC Tamworth.

The new Classic Ladies Foundation aim to work together in the lead up to and during the Classic to ensure fundraising and donations to charity are conducted in a more structured manner than they have been in the past for much needed causes.

The fundraising comes through a number of ventures including a monster raffle, merchandise building up over the next couple of years, a charity auction, a social event at the campdraft finals and of course some fun and entertainment for everyone whilst they are at Tamworth for the week.

Each year the Foundation will nominate different causes that will benefit from their work.

Guidelines are being developed to enable other organisations to apply to be the beneficiaries of the Foundations fundraising; all applicants will be carefully considered by the Foundation Team.

The inaugural event in 2016 raised almost $40,000, and in 2017 they raised a monstrous $60,000+

The Classic Ladies Foundation volunteers on behalf of the Warwick Show and Rodeo Society also helped to host the Tough Enough to Wear Pink charity day which is held on the Friday of the Warwick Rodeo Week.  On the day everyone is asked to wear pink and buy a raffle ticket or merchandise to support the cause.  In 2016 the ladies elected to give money raised to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.
