The 2017 Comet Open Classic Challenge has been run and won by Todd Graham & Heavy Metal scoring a huge 228 Points. It was definitely the Todd show again, as he was also Reserve Champion with Spins Gypsy Queen. Huge Congratulations to Todd and all finalists, must have been a great final!

Jason Leitch & Smooth n Stylish are the 2017 Comet Cutting Open Futurity Champions on 221. Reserve Champions are Grant Quigley on Reyce Driver (by Hydrive Cat).  Reyce Driver, out of Rey Lady Rey, is full brother to highly successful World Series Cat who sadly has passed away. Congratulations to all connections.

Great results for HYDRIVE CAT PROGENY at the Comet Cutting Futurity! Open Derby Champion – Driving Miss Cherry & Grant Quigley Open Futurity Reserve Champion – Reyce Driver & Grant Quigley Open Futurity Eq 3rd – Cherry Drive & Todd Graham.  

Great result also for Cantaur Park Guardian (by One Moore Daddy) & Will Durkin at Katherine Show, winning the Restricted Open on a 91. This is on the back of wins in the Res Open at Saxby on an enormous 93 and a win in the Open at Burketown draft in May. Congratulations Will, great results.

While many of us were focusing on Cloncurry, competition was continuing elsewhere, very successfully for Jack Harries at Katherine Show. Open: 1st on Naomi (full sister to Liberty Jack’s dad) 2nd on Martina 3rd on Liberty Jack, who won the cutout. Novice 1st on Rosewood.

It’s official, Halls Eltorrio (by Daley’s Playrio) & Ben Hall are the 2017 Paradise Lagoons Champion of Champions. 90.5 points secured the win. Congratulations, what an outstanding mare she is.

2017 Paradise Lagoons Novice winner is Pete Comiskey & Destined to Be. An extremely close 2nd by one point was Jason Lindley & Paris. Happy days for the Actons, sister brother combo first and second. Looks it was a tough final with only 17/45 outside scores, so Congratulations to all placegetters.

The 2017 Paradise Lagoons Restricted Open has been run & won, with a 2 point lead, by Daley’s Playrio‘s exceptional daughter Eltorrio & Ben Hall (90,88).
